Although some other blends do come in the same ballpark, they never come very close to the real thing. But as Maxwell Smart would say, it "missed it by that much". It comes in little squarish flakes side by side in rows, inside the plastic insert trays in the half pound bags. A wonderful English blend with lots of Latakia, a dark, smoky flavor and a layer of subtle undercurrents from the Virginias and Orientals. Mesquite BBQ in a very faint distance but that was it. Not sure its worth the price on the second hand market, but I keep coming back to it. I carefully tried to maintain the flake when pulling it from the tin, folded it twice and stuffed it into a bent brandy egg.
